Training your dog to stop jumping up can be a challenge, but it is possible. Here are a few tips to help you get started:
Establish a Boundary: Let your dog know that jumping up is not allowed by telling them “no” in a firm low tone. If your dog does not stop jumping at the change in your voice, clearly this is not effectively interrupted you dogs unwanted jumping. You can stomp your foot, clap your hands.
Put a leash on your dog so he/she can not get his paws on you to begin with.
Reward Good Behavior: Whenever your dog stays calm and stops jumping, all for on the floor reward them with a treat or praise.
